New 2/3-inch 2.3 Mega pixel 1080 progressive CCDs are employed to support not only the standard 1080 /50i 4:2:2 or 720/50p 4:2:2 1.5G formats, but also 3G formats such as 1080/50p 4:2:2 and 1080/50i 4:4:4 (Option). Furthermore, 1080/25i is available as an option.

With a docking style camera body, it can provide future augmentability of the system.
Taking full advantage of its excellent sensors and video circuits, the HDK-97A offers superb high quality, natural looking pictures with 1000 TV lines of horizontal resolution, F10 sensitivity, and 62dB S/N ratio in HDTV (@1080/50i).
- Camera Control Unit, the CCU-970
The Ikegami HDK-series HDTV cameras are desinged as a Multi-Use Camera to meet the format requirements of HDTV and SDTV have incorporated next-generation 0.18 micro m ASICs into new Camera Control Unit, the CCU-970. Also using newly developped ASICs.
High Performance Viewfinders
- VF421HD(2"), VF13XHD(5"), VFL912HD(9")
2-inch 16:9 high definition VF for portable application is available. Employing a magnifying eyepiece in the 2-inch VF, visibility is further improved. In addition, a 5-inch CRT B&W and 9-inch wide LCD colour viewfinder is available as an option.
- VFL200HD Monocular Colour 2" LCD Viewfinder
The VFL200HD is the latest 2-inch LCD viewfinder developed for HDK series and GFCAM. The viewfinder uses a QHD (540 x 960) LCD panel with high response speed.
Improved Operability, With Abundant Peripherals
- TFA-89HD Fiber / Triax Converter System
Ikegami's second generation HDTV triax system is now available for the HDK-97A. The TFA-89HD, housed in a rugged weather resistant case, is used together with the CCU-970M (Multi-type) for full resolution transmission of HD signals over conventional triax cable.
The desired control panel which matches the needs of user can be selected, and connected to the CCU.
MCP (Maintenance Control Panel)
An MCP control panel is used for maintenance and fine adjustment purposes. Up to 96 cameras can be controlled from an MCP when the MCP is used with the CPH-200E ARC NET hub system.
OCP (Operation Control Panel)
An OCP control panel is used for normal operation, and includes the primary operating control functions. The OCP is available in joystick and rotary varsions.
Expander
The SE-H700 enables the use of the 7-inch(or 9-inch LCD) viewfinder and full Studio lenses with HDK-79EX-III and HDK-727P. Compacted light weight body with easy to remove and install the camera.
Space-Saving Design
Suitable for small-sized HD vans and rental / flight-pack systems.
- BS-89 Half-Rack Base Station
A half-rack base station BS-89 is available, permitting full SMPTE fiber cable extension with a compact base station. 3G-upgrade will be available as an option.
- BSF-55 1.5RU Base Station
BSF-55 is the latest compact size base station. It supports HDTV/SDTV simulcast operation with an up converter / down converter.
