3D graphics vehicle coach-build and system integration
Deltatre needed a small, versatile vehicle that was fully equipped to create stereoscopic broadcast graphics on location for live events, primarily sports.
Our systems team designed Deltatre’s graphics system around a Mercedes Sprinter 313 LWB chassis with a 4m GRP body.
The comfort of the workspace was paramount, so two Coleman roof mounted air conditioning units were installed for the production area and equipment.
The weight of the vehicle was also an issue with the amount of equipment installed, so to avoid it becoming cumbersome, our fabrication team installed custom-built aluminium racks providing a light-weight alternative to the standard rack systems.
On the technology side, a Lynx Technik HD video and audio infrastructure was installed along with embedded audio processing with a facility to de-embed and monitor the audio.
Custom 5.1 surround/stereo monitoring amplifier from AES inputs were installed, as well as hard disk recording of side by side 3D images.
Deltatre needed fully patchable inputs and a single KVM allowing control of all IT equipment from a single point. We installed these with a custom changeover unit in case of server failure and double redundancy on all IT gear.
3D Steroscopic multiviewer monitoring was from JVC.
